The Quarterly: Autumn

In this, the first, of the seasonal festivities we will be celebrating autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile. The evening will open with an extended season-specific yoga practice led by Naomi Annand, the director of Yoga on the Lane. Focusing on releasing tension and creating space, this will be a grounding, alignment-focused session that will help students root back into the earth after the physicality and exuberance of summer. Naomi will explore holding patterns in the body helping students create space for new friendships and new opportunities in this celebration of community and friendship, which will end with an extended compassion-based meditation. This is an inclusive workshop and all levels will be catered for.

The Feast

To complement the yoga, psychoreactive chef India Hamilton has created a special vegetarian and gluten-free menu that celebrates the glory of autumn, and its rich harvest. Featuring oil-infusions and gluten-free bread and collective pots of food sourced from conservation farmland, the menu has been designed to encourage interaction with your fellow diners, and to nurture the invisible biological community.  The meal will be rounded off with a Blackberry, Cacao and Sichuan desserts to stimulate the mind and skin. There will be a non-alcoholic bar of drinking vinegar cocktails and scoby ferments, to aid digestion. Having trained at Le Corden Bleu and top London restaurants, over the last few years she has worked on a range of different projects included the Symbiosis Treehouse Restaurant, funded by the Wellcome Trust, and the Oxford University Crossmodal Dept on their psychoreactive food event.
