Come and enjoy a lovely relaxing treat for both mum & baby. This special session will include a calming  yoga practice for mums followed by therapist-led baby massage session. Amanda Jane will lead a practice designed to relieve tension, relax and uplift busy mothers, and Katrina will lead us through some beautiful hands-on techniques that will help calm and nurture babies. Knowing how to respond to our energy levels in the moment is the art of the yoga practice – it’s how we deepen our practice and challenge our edge. Throughout this practice we will explore some therapeutic interventions to allow deeper openings in passive poses. There will be the opportunity to restore or uplift in some playful asana and in particular inversions to help nourish our blood for spring. The workshop is open to all levels but a basic understanding of yoga asana will be useful. When: 3-5.30pm Sunday 6th April (After the workshop Naomi will lead a Sunday meditation 6-6.45pm, all welcome.) Cost: £30 for the workshop. Meditation by donation.

Spring Tune-Up: a Restorative Yoga Workshop with Sarah Scharf

Start your holidays with rejuvenation. In this workshop we will use props to support the body in passive and deeply relaxing asana. We start with gentle yoga to soften our bodies and prepare for stillness. Each pose will help to release tension and leave you with more space to be just as you are. Restorative yoga is a great compliment to a strong dynamic practise, or a way to begin if you aren’t familiar with yoga or meditation. In times of stress, fatigue or illness this practise can support you and help to rebuild your energy. The sequence of poses will help your body move into spring and get you ready to shift into celebrating the new season. Attention will be given to any tender or tight areas, as well as to increasing our capacity for prana. Open to all levels, including pregnant women and most injuries/health conditions. Fresh from her intensive Doula training with Michael Odent and Liliana Lammers Naomi will go deep into the heart of our beings to wind down and prepare for new life ahead, setting positive intentions as we move through a meditative practice that will serve you whatever stage of your pregnancy, a chance to feel some gratitude at this special time. The afternoon will begin with flowing yoga, breathing practices, meditation and some restorative yoga. There will be time at the end to enjoy some delicious cake and tea and meet one another.
