Working together to make the studio as safe as possible

In light of the ongoing spread of the coronavirus we just wanted to reassure the YOTL community that we are doing everything we can to make sure that Yoga on the Lane is as safe as possible a place for everyone that uses it.

What we’ll be doing:

Mopping down the studio space with disinfectant twice daily

Cleaning common surfaces – door handles, taps, hand rails etc – as frequently as possible.

Deep cleaning the mats every day (and asking that you wipe your own mat down after each class).

Asking our teachers not to use bolster, blankets or eyebags for now and teaching classes that limit the need for blocks, bricks and straps. And we’ll be asking them not to do any hands-on assists.

What we ask from you:

First and most obviously, if you’ve recently been to any of the high risk areas – Northern Italy, Iran, China etc. – please wait two weeks until you come to the studio again. And of course if you feel any of the symptoms of the virus please stay at home.

Please wipe down your mat (and any props) at the end of class with the equipment provided.

If you have one, please bring your own mat, or mat cover. The Yoga Matters Sticky Mat is a good mat for £20: https://www.yogamatters.com/yogamatters-sticky-yoga-mat.html

And there are a variety of mat cover and non-slip towels available on Amazon from £10 which can be easily washed in a washing machine.
